Aruncus are small genus of herbaceous clump forming perennials from the mountainous regions of the Northern hemisphere. Belonging to the Rosaceae family they are closely related to Filipendula and commonly called 'Goats Beard'. Mostly grown for their tiny, fluffy looking white or cream flowers that are borne in terminal panicles, however the striking foliage is equally as good. Suited to moist areas of the garden with afternoon shade and protection from hot winds.
