TECOPHILAEA

This exquisite genus from Chile has only 2 species, the best known in cultivation T.cyanocrocus 'Chilean Blue Crocus'.

Flowering late Winter into early Spring these gems produce a large 5cm plus bloom of the most intense gentian blue. The bluest of all corms in nature. They require a very well drained sunny spot with protection from severe Winter cold. They require moisture through the Winter and Spring months but need to be dried off and kept cool during Summer dormancy. They love their food, so the good smelly fertilisers are the go!

We need to protect this fabulous corm as they are now being pushed to extinction in the wild.

A true favorite of mine!!
