Eichler's Tulip. This exquisite species from Turkey through to the Caucasus Mountains has large 'fire engine' red flowers with a  contrasting black blotch in the centre. My original stock came from my very dear friend Jon. It is this kind of generosity so often found in the bulb world that makes it all worth it!
