N.cantabricus occurs in the wild from Southern Spain accross to Morocco and Algeria and is variable throughout this range. Many different names have been given to forms in horticulture and most are questionable. Despite the variations, N.cantabricus is always a pure white flowered hoop petticoat and the form we offer here is free and early flowering for us, with 3-4 leaves per bulb. Easily grown in a sunny to part-shaded position like other hoop petticoats, a must have addition to any collection.
