What a stunning species from Sichuan China. The bright orange blooms fully reflex to reveal an extraordinary deep jade centre and the most outstanding papillae of all the species I have seen. The starry centre exerts the incredibly long anthers nearly double the size of the flower, just perfection! It differs from L.henryi in smaller stature, broader leaf, later flowering and seed capsule.
