This beautiful little member of the Liliaceae family is native to winter-wet meadows in California.  The lovely purple-pink 'crepe-paper like'  flowers are offset by a deep magenta ring in the centre. Spring flowering, held on fine stems up to 20cm high. This one flowers itself silly and packs a punch. One of my all time favorite genera!! Spectacular.
