PAEONIES A genus of about 33 species, including Tree Paeonies, from Europe, Asia and North America. They date back to ancient Greek times where they were prised for the medicinal values found in some species. Double Herbaceous Paeonies to give them their correct title, are probably the longest lived of any garden perennial and given good soil, sunshine and a cool situation, including some frosts, a requirement for bud development, they will provide a wealth of lovely blooms each year. Will benefit from water once a week during the flowering period.
