LILIUMS
A genus of around 100 species native to the temperate areas, (some extending into mountainous areas) of Europe, North America and Japan , with the largest number of species coming from China and the Himalayas. Liliums have been extensively hybridised, particularly since the 1940's bringing us many fascinating and often hardier garden and commercial varieties.
Liliums require protection from the hot afternoon sun. They need water at least once a week during growing and flowering period and then will tolerate drought conditions.
